TheFORDAH is an essential installation accessory for select 2005-UpFord/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles with MSCAN Data bus radios. Using thisinterface will enable factory features such as rear seat entertainment(RSE), rear seat controls (RSC) and the premium amplified systems , andeven THXII data controlled digital amplified systems when the originalradio is removed. Other features include data bus driven retainedaccessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination,reverse output, parking brake outputs for an easy navigation ornon-navigation radio installations. Theres also a 5 volt datacontrolled regulated amp turn on for factory installed subwoofers andother vehicle key features that would otherwise be lost. The FORDAHalso works with Peripherals line of steering wheel control interfaces(PESW series) for most aftermarket radios. The PESW series line ofinterfaces will allow the SWC to control your aftermarket radio.
Vehicle Compatibility Notes- 2008 F-250/350/450 Not Compatible with model trim XL (Fleet Vehicles). These vehicles do not have the necessary CAN Bus signals.
- When installing an aftermarket radio factory satellite and SYNC will be lost.
- Does not retain the factory RSE in 2006-2007 Ford Freestyle.
- Does not retain the THX amplifier in the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr.
- Does not retain the factory satellite radio receiver.
- For steering wheel control retention a PESWI** Series Steering Wheel Interfaces is also required (not included).
