Peripheral PXDX Universal Auxiliary Input Interface PXDX Image

The PXDX provides a seamless integration of an auxiliary audio input into the factory radio. Audio is fed directly into the factory radio for the best possible sound quality. This universal device can provide audio inputs into your factory radio for devices such as MP3 players, portable DVD players, laptops, gaming systems and more!

Requires vehicle specific harness (sold separately).

Vehicle Compatibility Notes

ALL VEHICLES

Radio must be CD changer or Satellite capable. Notcompatible with any factory external audio source such as: XM tuner, CDchanger, or Cassette player. These devices must be disconnected duringthe installation and will no longer function. Requires vehicle specificharness (sold separately).

Acura/Honda

Not compatible with factory radios that have an in dash 6 disk cd changer. Not compatible with navigation radios.

Audi

Vehicles with Symphony sound systems must use special adapter harness PXHAD2 as well as PXHVW2 and connect at radio.

GM Vehicles

Buick/Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC/Oldsmobile/Pontiac/Hummer

GM vehicles 1998 2004 not equipped witha factory slave may not be able to support an external device.Therefore the PXDP may not be compatible. If you are an experiencedinstaller, you can retain XM. Please follow this link to the Tech Briefto retain XM: http://peripheralelectronics.com/web/tech_dept.asp.1995-1999 Radios with built in CD player (Except Corvette) are NOTcompatible because they do not have CD changer control functions.

Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep

To determine if your 2002-2005 vehicle iscompatible, factory radio must have "Disk ^" on preset 1. Vehicle mustbe non-CANBUS, if radio is an REF,REC,RAQ, RAK series, vehicles are notcompatible. The series is indicated on the front of the radio. 1999Chrysler vehicles have one of two different style radios. These tworadios use different harnesses. The shape of the radio face willdetermine which harness you will use. If your radio face is SQUARE,you will use the harness part# PXHCH1. If your radio face is OVAL(rounded corners), you will use the harness part# PXHCH2.

Ford/Lincoln/Mercury

Not compatible with factory radios with built-in 6-disc CD changers. Compatible with factory navigation radios.

Toyota

When using the PXHTY3 with 2006-2007vehicles the green wires must be cut on the PXHTY3 harness. Fullycompatible with factory installed Toyota Navigation Systems. Notcompatible with Hybrid vehicles.

Volkswagen

Not compatible with vehicles equipped witha factory Navigation system. When possible, we recommend using thePXHVW2 or PXHVW3 harness and install the PXDP behind the radio. Thiswill avoid the possibility of inherent noise problems with the factoryVW CD changer cable that is found in some vehicles. Double DIN (4Tall) VW radios require the PXHVW3 to connect behind the radio.
