As the best-designed and best-sounding amplifiers KICKER makes, IX-Series
Amplifiers are guaranteed to deliver dependable, high-efficiency Class-D power
to any mobile audio system. The ground-breaking design results in the smallest
chassis ever developed by KICKER engineers. Despite having a heat sink of less
than 10 inches long, IX-Series monoblock amplifiers provide plenty of power to a
system's subwoofer.
Now with five models û a pair of Class-D subwoofer options, a full-range,
Class-D four-channel, a full-range, Class-D hybrid with subwoofer channel and a
full-range, Class-D stereo model û they give the user a slew of features any
music lover will certainly appreciate, such as a super-small footprint, lesser
weight and a stackable design for more fuel efficiency and increased cargo
space. IX Amps also utilize FITÖ (Fail-Safe Integration Technology) for
significant noise reduction and compatibility with any factory radio, three
choices of automatic turn-on modes (remote, DC offset, or signal sense) and the
high power efficiency of Class-D technology.
The IX.1 Mono Subwoofer Amplifiers (1000w and 500w respectively, 2 Ohm at
14.4V) use energy-saving Class-D power to create hammering bass in the most
sophisticated installations. IX Sub Amps offer a 24dB/octave low-pass electronic
crossover and a 24dB/octave, high-pass subsonic filter fixed at 25 hertz. They
each have up to +18 decibels of KICKEQÖ bass boost centered at 40 hertz and a
mountable remote bass dial for controlling from the dash. Installers and DIY'ers
will appreciate the simplicity of all connections located on one end of its
small footprint and all user controls at the opposite end.
IX monoblock amps use a boost-converter power supply for the highest sound
quality and efficiency. Boost-converter technology allows IX.1 amps to achieve a
typical efficiency of more than 90 percent, way more than standard amp power
supplies. That, along with the its adaptability to use fewer internal parts,
allows for a smaller bass-amp size, the coolest operation, optimum reliability
and overall excellent performance.
A new high-power, hybrid IX-Series Multi-Channel Amplifier gives the listener
flexibility for system choices. The IX1000.5 Five-Channel Amp with subwoofer
section (125 x 4/500 x 1, 2 Ohm at 14.4V) provides full-range, Class-D power
from a compact chassis less than a foot wide and can power an entire system. A
remote bass control puts the amount of bass at the user's fingertips.
The IX.2 Stereo Amplifier offers energy-saving, full-range Class-D power as
well, with up to +18 decibels of boost from a chassis just under 10 inches.
